I'm ready for another car ride!

What's everybody waiting for? I'm ready to go!

Bath time for me, Mr. Curly

Grandma Cyndy, my hair looks so curly when wet. Do I really look like my Dad when he was little?

My "horror-scope"

Yesterday, January 23, I was two-months-and-a-day old. It was time for me to go for my first vaccinations. But before we could do that, my Mom had to go out and vote. Yesterday was also Election Day in Canada.

The outgoing MP in our riding and I have something in common. We share November 22nd for our birthday. Admittedly, that is a very tenuous connection but what that means is, whatever my horoscope says, the same goes for him. I can't read the newspapers yet, but I think my horoscope yesterday said I should 'be prepared to suffer some pain'.

Well, my shots did hurt alright! I cried "Mama!" so loud! She had to give me some Tempra from a medicine dropper last night.

Meanwhile, our outgoing MP? He outwent - i.e., he lost the election. Boy! that must have also hurt. I was just wondering, was he taking his Tempra by the glassful last night?

Tia Monica, if you're reading this from Manila - there will be no corn roast this summer. Vote counts from our riding were:
BQ - 21,403, Liberals - 20,100, Tories - 9,000.
Canada-wide, the Tories won a minority government. Final results for the 308-seat House showed Conservatives with 124 seats; Liberals with 103; the Bloc Quebecois with 51, New Democratic Party with 29; and one seat to an Independent, the shock jock Andre Arthur from a Quebec City radio station.

My gym

Here I am in one of favourite places - my gym! I like it here so much. This is where I find myself in the mood to talk to my Dad. Click here to watch me hit the blue whale with a right hook, a straight jab then a left-cross punch to the green octopus.

Grandpa Phil used to call me a "food processor." That's because to him, all I seemed to do was 'input', sleep and 'output'.

Now, with rocking myself in my rocking chair and playing in my gym, I get more activity to fill my day. But of course, I still do the usual "food processing."

Grandma Cyndy, thanks for the "bear-feet"!

Look what I've learned to do! There's something about these "bear feet" you sent me. When I'm wearing them, I get rhythm! (click here for the video) :) I can rock myself like this for a long time.

I learned this trick around Christmas, as you can see by the Christmas tree. However, posting this clip on Google Video was a story by itself. Tia Monica first uploaded it January 5th with a filename of "First Trick". Until now, January 18th, Google still has not approved it. Maybe, it's something to do with the "trick" filename. Grandpa Phil resubmitted it under a different filename and it was approved within the usual two days.

And speaking of video clips, the video clip of the sushi party (you can click here to see it) from "Tia Monica's birthday party" has just been approved and is now online.

Mirror, mirror

I am eight weeks old today. Tia Monica is going away on a long trip tomorrow. We had to go for some last minute shopping.

Grandma and me in the backseat. Click on picture to see grandpa on the mirror with the camera.

Here's how my Mom sees me from the driver's seat - thru a mirror on the back seat reflected on the driver's rear-view mirror.

Tia Monica's birthday party

I am getting to be a real party boy. Third weekend in a row - Christmas, New Year's and now a combined birthday party for Tia Monica and Ate Marivic. They had a sushi party. Everybody was supposed to roll their own sushi (click here for video) . As usual, I can only lick the back of my fist when I'm hungry. That's my Kuya Jose, me, Tia Monica, Ate Mavic and Kuya Guillaume.

That's Ate Jomelle with the toothy smile and half-closed eyes. Me, I was all wide-eyed, mesmerized by the birthday candles.

Open your eyes, Ate Jomelle. You're missing the beautiful candles.

A karate kick for Ate Marivic for good luck on her birthday!

And here's my Ate Gemma.

My first New Year's Eve

We went to Auntie Varge's place for a New Year's Eve party. This was my first time to go party someplace away from home.

I have only been around five weeks and here they are, changing years already. What was wrong with the old one anyway? I found myself in deep conversation with Auntie Jojo. She kept talking. I pretended to listen but I was really looking at her wine glass and thinking, "What does a guy have to do to get a drink around here?"

Ahhh! finally. I wasn't drunk or mad here. I just wanted to raise a glass to wish everyone a "Happy New Year!" :) :) Click here for some "truth in advertising".
