Visit by Toronto cousins

Cousins Tina, Jason and Julie came to see Tia Monica compete in the Dragon Boat races. I'm wearing Tia Monica's gold medal.

At the 2006 Montreal Dragon Boat Races

On the foreground, my tent on Ile Notre Dame. On the background, that's the Fuller Geodesic Dome on Ile Ste-Helene, left-over from Expo '67 and a Montreal landmark.

Tia Monica is on a boat down there somewhere.

I bet on the motorized boats to win but the officials riding them always pull in last.

A gift from Anya's grandma

Anya took a quilt like this back to Germany. Now, I have one, too. Thanks to Dorothy. Thanks to Anya's aunt, Linda, too, for holding me in this picture.

My first time on the beach in Maine

Just taking a walk on the beach with my Dad. Grandma Cyndy spent many summers as a child on this beach, so did my Dad and Aunt Amanda. This was the first time I put my feet on this sand. I was here last year but I was still in my Mommy's tummy.

Just look how big a bathtub this is.

Then this bubbly water came lapping at my feet.

Whoa! Mama, it was cold!

I think I'll just stay in my warm tidal pool. Look at me. I'm just "too sexy for my shorts!"

With Christine who watched over me so I wouldn't try and taste the sand. Just kidding, Christine! How about updating your blog? Your last entry was July,2005. :-)

Ahh! there's nothing like the feeling of having sand on your feet and a toy to gnaw on.

Aunt Amanda was just so happy to carry me.

All that playing on the beach really tired me out. Aunt Amanda didn't have to convince me to take a nap.

Aunt Amanda still wasn't tired of carrying me, even at the Shaw's grocery.

As what usually happens at this beach house, we arrived just as some cousins were about to leave.

I hope that arrow on the "Fat Boy" sign wasn't meant to point at me! This is where grown-ups come to chow down on seafood!

On a rainy day at the beach, what else is there to do but go shopping at the outlet stores in Freeport. This big shoe belongs to a Mr. L.L. Bean.

Back at the beach house with Grandpa John.

So, tell me more stories, Grandpa.

Soon, it was time to go back home. But first, a souvenir photo, if only my Mom would stop tickling me.

On the road back home, we had to make a pit stop so Dad could clean me up and change me.

The sun's already gone and we were still on the road. My Dad was getting tired driving. I just had to take a turn at the wheel.
